I Believe in You ~ CAS Card

It’s sometimes hard to get the mojo back after a lot of joy and merriment! I thought well, something clean and simple is a good place to start! One thing I didn’t get done in the last year was make enough Congratulations, Thank You, Birthday, etc cards for my stash. Clean and simple cards are great for those occasions that creep up on you.

I also work better with sketches and Clean & Simple Sketches #121 was the perfect one!

I had to photograph against a different colour background because the base is white and it’s looking a little washed out.

In real life the flourish in the background is quite sparkly after adding cool highlight glitter. Can’t get enough of bling!

Would you believe it was National Fruitcake Day on the 27th? Although I have no idea what it means! I did miss it though, oh well! lol

My Fave Card of 2010

How was your Christmas? It’s always great spending Christmas with family, although I usually do the bulk of the cooking including the turkey. It’s all good, I figure I have the luxury of making the yummies that I like. 😀

I was over at “Lots to Do Challenges” and I had never done one of their challenges before so I thought it would be great to do one. And since their challenge was to show a favourite card, I thought…hey I can so do this!

This card was created for Drunken Stampers Challenge in February 2010 where the challenge was inspired by a mardi gras picture.

One of the things I love most about this card is that the background was from my scraps pile when I couldn’t find something that would work! Don’t you just love it when things work out?! Please check out the original post if you’re looking for the nitty gritty deets about the card.

PS. The response has been fabulous to my new tutorial blog, along with the new Glitter Rosette tutorial! You ROCK! 😀 If you haven’t checked it out yet be sure to pop by. Thanks so much!
