Lingo Guide

Don’t you just hate it when you read something that’s filled with acronyms and other words that resemble the English language and yet you haven’t got a clue what you just read? Just pull out your DVD manual!

Here’s a growing guide of what I know and if I’ve left anything out, please let me know and I’ll add it to the list!

ATC – Artist Trading Cards
BT – Background & Texture Paper, patterned or textured (Close to my Heart uses this)
CB- Cuttlebug embossing and die-cut machine
CPS – Card Positioning Systems, a card sketch blog
CTMH – Close to My Heart, a direct selling, home based business company
DP – Designer Paper (same as BT) (SU uses this)
DS – Drunken Stampers Challenge Blog
DT – Design Team
EPCC – Easy Peasy Christmas Cards (I just got tired typing it all out)
EP – Embossing Powder
EF – Embossing Folder
IRL – In Real Life
OMS – Odourless Mineral Spirits
PCP – Paper Craft Planet
SCS – Split Coast Stampers
SC – Stampin Canada, a forum to share ideas and meet others
SBS – Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers
SU – Stampin’ Up, a direct selling, home based business company
TCP – The Cat’s Pajamas
TCW – The Crafter’s Workshop Stencils
TGF – The Greeting Farm
TH – Tim Holtz, usually with reference to a Tim Holtz branded product. I’d say Tim Holtz or just Tim if I referring to Tim himself.

  1. AH! I have been waiting for someone to do this! Thank you…acronyms can be so exclusionary!! But I find myself using them too when typing out “mbossing” and “owder” seems like it might put me over the edge. I’ve got two you could add:

    DT – Design Team
    EP – Embossing Powder
