Wow! I can’t believe how fast 5 months goes by! It’s the Midnight Margarita’s official last challenge be sure to drop by and say hello!
For this challenge…we need to use the movie Edward Scissorhands as inspiration OR Anything to do with sewing or Both!
I decided to use the “Anything to do with sewing” theme. Sparkle had given me this Sizzix dress form die for my BDay. I picked up the embossing folder the same weekend I had seen her. The edge die, well…that was dying to be used! (yes, pun was fully intended there!) SEW! I really had no choice! 🙂 I am super pleased how it all turned out!
I had embossed the inside panel and used Distress Inks (Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Black Soot) to highlight it. When I was applying the Distress Inks, I realized that I hadn’t really used them like this in a while. It felt good! 🙂
I placed a piece of black card stock behind the die cut edge to see the detail better. I sponged silver Inka Gold on the scissors and the bobbin. I had a piece of bakers twine sitting on my desk (it’s been there for a while). Believe it or not, I was hesitant to use it at first because I’m always making Christmas Cards. Luckily I didn’t spot anything else within arms reach. hahahah! It was perfect to add that little bit of pop of colour. Love, love, LOVE 😀
