I had recently met with Deanna of In the Making Enterprises, the designer of Dee’s Distinctively Dies and supplier of Glitter Ritz Glitter. I hadn’t seen her since November so it was fabulous to see her again! I’m excited that I’ll be doing some behind the scenes stuff such as social media and a few other wonderful things for her 😀 The answer is YES! I have gotten a peak at her new die designs and I know you’ll be so excited that you’ll want them all! 😉

So I couldn’t resist using a Dee’s Distinctively Die for today’s Easy Peasy card.

Card measures 4 1/4x 5 1/2
-emboss card front 2/3 with embossing folder (Ice Crystals by Cuttlebug)
-die cut tree (Dee’s Distinctively Christmas Tree #3) from green velveteen
-stamp sentiment (in Vermillion Archival Ink)

Don’t you just love this design?! Sure I could have die cut it out of green paper but there’s nothing like having that extra bit of decadence and using velveteen instead. There’s a silhouette die that works great with this overlay but I wanted to see the embossing through the tree and opted out. (There’s always next time!)
Again, kicking it up a notch is relatively simple, just add rhinestones in the center of the snowflakes or red pearls on the tree. 😀

Love,

  1. LOVE the partial embossing – and the velveteen? Seriously, there is nothing like texture to take those simple cards up a notch!! Love it 🙂
