I was thinking, why reinvent the wheel? I had made a card similar to this one for a class I taught this past fall. I loved making it and it’s absolutely perfect for Easy Peasy!

Alcohol ink is always fun and easy to use, I find that I don’t use it as much as I’d like!

Card Measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Silver Shimmer Paper 3 3/4 x 3 3/4
Glossy card stock 3 1/2 x 3 1/2
-apply Sail Boat Blue, Denim, Stonewashed, Cloudy Blue alcohol ink + blender solution with an alcohol ink applicator onto glossy card stock
-stamp Snowflake Blueprint stamp with Cobalt Archival Ink over top alcohol inked card stock
-emboss card base
-adhere layers together

Glossy card stock mostly comes in the 8 1/2 x 11 size, you can always apply alcohol ink to the entire piece and cut to size after. You can get 6 (3 1/2 x 3 1/2) pieces and use the leftover pieces for accents on the inside or in other projects. Fun and easy to do! I didn’t use any mixatives of the alcohol ink but silver or pearl would work well with these colours! (Never used alcohol ink? Just comment and I’ll whip up a tutorial for you 🙂 )

  1. Love your cards. You have so many great ideas. Could you tell me where you get your shimmer paper. I’ve searched high and low on the internet and have been unable to find a place with all colors at a “reasonable” cost. I only need a few sheets, not a ream. Difficult to find. Thanks for these fabulous cards and ideas.

    • Hi Mslizzi! Thanks so much for your kind words!
As for shimmer paper, I pick mine up at a local shop but as for online I’ve seen them at Simon Says Stamp under “Brushed Silver Card Stock”. Also if you know of anyone that sells Stampin’ Up, you can pick them up in a package of 10.
Thanks again and I would love to see what you create!
