One of the things I’ve been wanting to do for a while is nurture on my grungy-ness, vintage, shabby chic techniques/style. Lately, I have been working on my art journal quite a bit which is why I haven’t been posting much with respect to grungy art. In the journal, the pages are at different stages of completion with none that are finished yet to show you. Work has been trying lately so I’ve just been spraying ink to my hearts content. That’s what I enjoy about art journaling, no structure…just play!
Well this tag is a…um…a result of a journal page. I needed to remove excess ink and well, tags are great for blotting to use for later! I have a few of these tags (blotted) kicking around! I need to get on them to make good use of them else I’ll have a tag backlog!
The challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and Show this week is…Something Messy! These days I don’t think I do anything that isn’t messy!
I really like the way this tag turned out. The colours (which aren’t normally ones that I gravitate to) have just mesmerized me! Inspiration took the drivers seat from there and off I went! The tag, ribbon, wings have been coloured with Dylusions Ink Spray. Of course, I couldn’t resist using Perfect Pearls, UTEE, Glossy Accents and I even pulled out metallic distress stain. What fun! In terms of messy…well ink spraying, ribbon dying and would you believe it or not using UTEE is messy too….hmmmm…or perhaps it’s just me! lol
I highly suggest getting inky if you haven’t in a while. Trust me…you’ll feel so much better! 🙂
Thanks for dropping in today!
