It’s Snow Time with Snow Angel Ruby

This is another card I had created in July to showcase Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps. One thing you may not realize when creating samples is that it can be tough in choosing embellishments, papers, etc than the usual. Especially when creating them over the summer! You’re not sure how long the sample will be around and in the summer you’re working with last season’s papers or embellishments (if they’re part of a paper collection) which may not be easy to find for some that wish to re-create the card and it’s a little too early to get the new season’s papers.

I had used Snow Angel Ruby stamp and had coloured it in first before choosing the rest of my card colours. (Tip: Grab your paper colours, etc first before colouring your image. Matching up your Copic (or other medium) colours to your paper is easier than the other way around.)

In this particular case it was easy because I just found glitter to match and with Glitter Ritz’s Microfine Glitter it was easy with their variety.

I hadn’t made note of the microfine glitter I had used for this post, although it was written on the card. (Sorry yes I know what you’re thinkin’! LOL) Although I could probably guess, Cool Highlight, Burgundy, Canadian Blue and Liberty Blue. I had used Cool Highlight glitter around Ruby 🙂

All the Copics I used 🙂 I just loved colouring this image. It just brings back happy memories playing in the snow!

Thank you for popping in today! Have a fantastic Tuesday!

  1. Hi Spike,

Where do you find time to do all the stuff you do for the craft? I truly love this card. Thanks for the picture of the Copics you used. We have all made snow angels and I just love the whole look of this card.
