Wow! I can’t believe I’ve made it to Friday! It’s been quite the busy week, it started off slow then it seems to have whizzed by me! Well, throughout the week I’ve had a card in my minds eye and it’s gorgeous! I just have to figure out how to translate it from my imagination onto paper 😉
So instead, I just let my fingers do the walking! I’ve been working in my art journal quite a bit recently and my fingers wanted to do some sponging, stenciling and playing with stains! I had to shake myself a little and put the art journal away and make the Easy Peasy Card of the week. I had a few ideas, came up with a few duds before making this card with those techniques.
Card measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
-Stamp snowflake blueprint from Tim Holtz’s Mini Blueprints set
-Heat Emboss with Clear embossing powder
-Sponge “SNOW” and snowflakes through the Let It Snow Stencil with a mix of Broken China and Brushed Pewter Distressed Stain
-with a blending tool and sponge, add Faded Jeans Distress Ink to the card edges
-paint in the blueprint snowflake with Brushed Pewter Distress Stain
I made sure that I hit the 5th step mark for this card as that was the goal I made for myself last week. It was fun to do and I got inky!
This is more a winter card than a Christmas card but has lots of fun potential. Inside the card, I’ll write in something like…There’s No Business Like Snow Business…and give it to the fella who shovels my driveway along with a gift card. 🙂
