Over at Drunken Stampers, Challenge #86 is You’re a krafty one! And for this challenge, use kraft.
I’m still buzzing with ideas from Tim Holtz’s Creative Chemistry 101 class that when I realized that this week’s challenge was to use kraft, I was in inky heaven! I have a few of patterned papers on kraft and I had recently picked this one up from Graphic 45.
As mentioned above, the main background started off as kraft but I used distressed stains to get it all nice, inky and full of colour. I then stamped the script from the Tim Holtz Papillon Set (which is my absolute fave right now!!) and thought the french script will work perfectly on the French themed paper.
I inked up around the sentiment on the sentiment panel also from that Graphic 45 set and covered it in UTEE. I’m still working on layering that works, I again need permission to dip into my Tim Holtz embellies but just couldn’t (bad Spike bad!). I also sooo couldn’t resist using a new memory box die, now whether or not it works together? I just know I need a bit more work finding my style within this style, if you know what I mean. It’s a work in progress and that’s okay 🙂
What’s in it:
