A Hero Arts Old Fashioned Hello

Well it’s back to the good ‘ole grind after being hung over with merriment and joy, it will be nice to go to work for a change! I had made a few cards over the holidays that I’ll be sharing. In the process of making cards, I ended up making up more card “parts” than whole cards. I’ll share those with you at a later date.

It is tough to get the mojo going after the holidays. What does help is new stuff! 🙂 I couldn’t resist digging into some new Hero Arts stamps and I’ll be pulling them out more often! Yep, they’re THAT fun! hehe

I used the Classic Fabric Design stamp on the background in a shade or two darker than the Memory Box card base to give it a little texture. The antique phone (don’t you just LOVE that?!) and flower were done in Tumbled Glass Distress ink and the scalloped square was edged with Broken China Distress ink. For hidden sparkle, I smeared on some Stickles rock candy on the flower after wards, it’s subtle but it’s there. It’s a fun, bright card and it’s orange which isn’t a colour that I normally use. Then I used the DCWV paper stack, Mango Frost to inspire the rest of the colours. YUMMAY!

Have a great Tuesday! Did you know that today (4th) is Trivia Day? Amaze all your friends and family with fun bits of trivia today! [Here’s one to get you started: Beethoven who was a coffee lover, was so particular about his coffee that he always counted 60 beans each cup when he prepared his brew.]

Thanks for taking the time to make the blog a part of your day!

With much love,
