Well getting back to a somewhat regularly scheduled program. 🙂 I’m a little late for the Drunken Stampers Challenge! For this week’s challenge it’s surprise, surprise… TAGS!! I think when we came up with the challenge list we thought it would be great to have that as a theme. Too funny! So the challenge is to make a Tag, whether it’s just a gift tag, a tag like the Tim Holtz kind or a card with a tag in it/ on it…it will do!
So this started off as a place holder, I had cut out this carved ornaments piece to check out placement, size, etc on my #12 Tim Holtz tag. It was just left sitting around soooo why not use it. I first inked up the gorgeous Hero Arts Fabulous Flourish (I think this is one stamp I’m currently addicted to!) in Tumbled Glass distress ink then edged the ornament with Broken China. Then after cleaning the stamp, I inked it up with distress embossing ink and purposely off set it. Followed it by Ranger Holographic embossing powder. It looked pretty cool and another brain wave hit. I covered the entire ornament with 2 coats of clear UTEE. It looked really cool only that the edges were curling which wouldn’t make a great tag. So I just backed it up onto some cardstock and voila!
A somewhat clean and sorta simple tag!
Be sure to visit the Drunken Stampers Challenge Blog to check out what the rest of the gang has done with tags!
Thanks for dropping in and checking up to see what I’ve been up to!
