A one layer card using Christmas Star by Penny Black

If there’s anything that I have difficulty doing, it’s a ONE layer card! When I started blogging a few years ago, I came across phenomenal multiple layered cards and I had been striving to create them since! So to only use one layer?! How do I do that and still keep my style? I don’t know but other day I was hit with a creative brick (it did hurt, thanks for asking! LOL) and couldn’t resist making this card!

It was a little tricky using a finger knife to cut out around the poinsettia but not impossible, you just need to go slow. 😀 I added glossy accents to the 5 topmost petals to make them look more 3D and yellow stickles with glossy accents on the centre.

I’m very pleased with the way it turned out! I just may dip another toe into the one layer card style! But not just yet! 😉

Well it’s back to the grind for me today thinking about cards. I should check how many Christmas cards I actually NEED. LOL

Have a Happy Eat a Cranberry day!! Thanks for checking up on me! 😉

Love,
