Inchies!! Drunken Stampers Challenge 6

Wahoo! We’re looking for things small this week over at Drunken Stampers! Just use an inchie! A 1×1″ piece!

Well I was really stoked for this challenge! I had everything planned out. I knew exactly what I was going to use. And as things go, you tweak your plans here and there until you get something that you’re happy with.

I would love to show you what that card looks like. I would love to show you how I used a Thomas Kinkade stamp with the lightest Copic markers to create a pastel look. I even cracked open some metal (this is really hard for me ‘cuz I hoard metal and can’t bear to use it) and used several pieces.

But I can’t. Not that I won’t. All that wonderful work and the card doesn’t photograph well. It’s bad. Really bad. The extra touches don’t show up. The fabulous inchies don’t look like they do in person. Actually it doesn’t look like I used inchies at all, it’s soooo subtle on film. Totally different story in person, honest it is!!

So rather than post a card that looks like I didn’t fulfill the challenge….I whipped up a card so I wouldn’t miss post time! I’m happy with it considering how quick I put it together. Now why can’t I whip up quickie cards more often??!!! I think it would be considered a CAS card…well…not sure about the simple but I think it’s pretty clean. (Do you know how hard it is to leave blank space alone???!!) LOL

Here’s a preview of the card, click the pic and it will take you directly to the challenge.

What’s in it:
Paper: Memory Box, Mat Board (Inchie Arts)
Stamp: Flourishes (Inkadinkado), Grateful Elegance (Verve)
Ink: Coffee (Archival Ink/Ranger)
Embellishments: Botanical Scallop Edge Punch (Martha Stewart), Chocolate Pearls (Kaiser), Flower (Prima), Clear Star Glitter Pen (Sakura), Peridot Microfine Glitter (Glitter Ritz), Glossy Accents (Ranger)

Come on out and play!! Inchies are a lot of fun! We have exciting news to announce next week be sure to check it out!

Thanks for dropping in today! Have a great weekend!

  1. Well, the card you posted is great! And, it’s a perfect example of how to use an inchie.

Don’t you just HATE it when you spend all this time making a card, and it simply won’t photograph well?? I can’t even tell you how often I spend more time trying to get a freaking picture than I spent making the card!!!

  2. I checked out your photo on “Drunken Stamper” Spike. the card is GREAT. I get it. The photo is not perfect but it does show what you wanted to say. I love the “fade to color” idea…..AND the pop makes it “POP”. The embellishments finish it off perfectly. I like the sparkle on the Prima.
