I had recently stumbled upon a new sketch blog that is quickly becoming a big favourite of mine! Every Tuesday Mercy Kerin hosts a card sketch challenge on her blog and it’s ever becoming popular! When you see her sketches you’ll understand why. She also makes beautiful cards and does work for a couple of my favourite stamping companies, Verve and The Greeting Farm!! They have great taste!! Be sure to check out her blog.
This is a sketch from a couple of Tuesdays ago:
Here’s my take on her sketch:
What’s great with Memory Box paper is that it’s coloured on one side and white on the other! Making it very easy to stamp a sentiment on the inside on a coloured cardstock. It works really well using a border punch and seeing the white inside of the card.
I used several circle Nestabilities to give the sentiment a little more oomph by popping it up in layers.
What’s in it:
Paper: Sapphire (Memory Box), Blue Bling (Bazzill), Winter’s Chill (Fancy Pants Designs)
Stamps: Thankful Accents (Verve)
Ink: Danube Blue (Memento/Tsukineko)
Embellishments: Mesh Ribbon (May Arts), Mini Pearls, Circle and Scalloped Circle (Nestabilities/Spellbinders), Clear EP, Floral Lace Edge Punch (Martha Stewart)
Thanks for taking the time to have the blog as part of your day! Have a happy paper crafting weekend!!
