Yipee! It’s Wednesday which is Cuttlebug Challenge Blog, Be Inspired #20. Now for this challenge, we’re so fortunate to have a Guest Designer for the Month of February, the one and only Valerie Salmon, sketch creator of the blog Got Sketch? A great sketch blog for layouts.

Here’s Valerie’s bio which is quite impressive!

Special details about the card: the Sultry Basic Grey paper was embossed with the Swiss Dots EF, the corners were cut with the scalloped border punch. The flourishes and Prima flower were painted with Angel Wings Shimmerz. The green button was covered in Crystal Stickles. If you have any questions about the card, just leave me a comment.

  1. Spike, your card is beautiful! I love the pink and green colors, and the flourishes give it fabulous movement, and you’ve used super textures. Love how the Shimmerz look on the flower, too! Must get those!! Great job on the sketch!!! Love it!

  2. I just love all the glitter and shimmer on this one Spike! Gorgeous card with beautiful paper and embellishments. I love how we have all come up with such different interpretations of the same sketch, but then that’s what it’s all about I suppose, lol!

  3. This is such a lovely card, Spike! I love your use of Shimmerz on the flower and swirls…it must look gorgeous IRL! I also love the houndstooth pattern on your background paper. I must add that stamp to my collection (it’ll save me from having to look for different colored houndstooth papers in the future! LOL!).

    Great take on the sketch, and wonderful work, Spike!
