Cuttlebug Challenge Blog – Be Inspired #19

It’s hump day which means it’s Cuttlebug Challenge Blog, Be Inspired Day! Our challenge for this week is to emboss on acetate.

So without further adieu, here’s my card:
Front

Inside
floweracetate2-cuttlebugchallenge19-spike
(The sentiment says: No winter lasts forever. No spring skips it’s turn. Hal Borland)

Card Composition:
Paper – Bazzill, Whisper White, Acetate (light weight)
Stamp – Beautiful You (Verve)
Ink – Sunflower (CTMH), Copics Y00, Y38, YR09, YR16
Embellishments – Scalloped Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Angel Wings (Shimmerz), Pearl (Kaiser), Clear EP

I folded the acetate in half and then ran the whole thing through the D’Vine Swirls EF. Then ran some Bazzill Lime Green CS, through a Scalloped Circle Nestie. To hide any adhesive, this was stuck on the backside of the acetate, while the flower was stuck on the front side. (make sense?) The Verve Beautiful You flower was stamped in Sunflower Ink then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The flower was coloured with copics. Another flower image was stamped again and only the pinwheel portion was cut out, coloured then popped up on pop dots on top of the whole flower. To add some dimension Shimmerz, Angel Wings was painted on the pinwheel portion and a yellow pearl, placed in the centre.
The sentiment was stamped on a scalloped cut cs piece and heat embossed.

Sorry if the post sounds really dry, I’ve come down with a cold and my head is sooo stuffed up I can’t think straight. But enough about me! LOL

Be sure to go visit the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog to see all the wonderful creations by my DT friends have made for you! This is also my dearest friend, Peggy’s first challenge with the Challenge Blog! Please head on over to her blog and give her a special welcome!
