Working with Mojo 69

It was a gorgeous day out today! Cool but the sun was out. I stepped out for a couple of errands but hung out at home. Jeffrey got back from the clinic yesterday to discover that he has severe shingles! So I wanted to be at home to make sure he was somewhat comfortable.

Wow, what a week! I know it was a little quiet on the blog even though I had been crafting like a madwoman! I will post those creations as soon as I am able to let the cat out of the bag 😀

Today I could make whatever I wanted! You know what’s funny, is when you are restricted to using certain supplies, that you ultimately tend to gravitate towards things that you can’t use! That totally reminds me of diets I’ve been on! LOL

So my first card of choice was to work on the Mojo Monday #69 sketch.

Although I have been using the new Basic Grey Bittersweet Paper all week, I love it so much that I used it on this card too! I think my 6×6 Basic Grey Paper Pack is pretty much used up now, it’s the first time that I’ve been able to blow through a package within a week! It looks like I’ll have pick up another one!

This card uses a few 3D pop dots but it’s tough to capture that! I ran a piece of pink Bazzill Bling CS through a circles Nestie. It’s larger than the die cut circle in the brown scalloped frame. On top of the pink Bling CS is a piece of the Bittersweet paper on a pop dot. The paper didn’t show up too well so I had lightly sponged some Creamy Caramel for a little contrast. The brown scalloped frame originally didn’t sit high enough from the card base so I had doubled the height of the pop dots.
All the butterflies were stamped on the same Bittersweet paper in Chocolate Chip (SU) on both sides. On the top side, the butterflies were also stamped in the new Champagne Dazzle Versamark (to give it some subtle glitter) and clear heat embossed. The little circles under the mini-butterflies are on pop dots too! I think those are all the tricky bits. If you have any questions, just let me know!

Card Composition:
Paper – Bazzill, Bazzill Bling, Bittersweets (Basic Grey)
Stamps – Fluttering By (Verve), Petals and Stems (Verve)
Ink – Close to Cocoa (SU), Creamy Caramel (SU), Champagne Dazzle (Versamark)
Embellishments – Pink Liquid Pearls (Ranger), Pink Rhinestones (Kaiser), Plum Pearls (Kaiser), Scalloped Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Clear EP, Brown Silk Ribbon (May Arts), Paper Piercing, Distressing, Pop Dots

Thanks for dropping in and leaving a comment! Hope you have a great Sunday!
