What prompted me to do this card was that I was getting really bored of the traditional single card fold and sketch #74 was perfect with a zig-zag fold! And it was with this card where I came up with the brilliant (stupid/crazy/insane/insert own adjective here) idea of doing the 12 SCS Sketch Cards of Christmas.
I had 3 of my homemade “brads” left which is perfect for this card.

Here’s the card open:
Notice on the back side of the wreath on the card inside, I added the Fa LaLa Paper by Making Memories to add something interesting instead of the plain red back. Also on the inside panel, I stamped another holly image and added liquid glass and stickles to it to match the holly buttons or brads.
With the wreath, it was stamped in the Garden Green and within each “berry” I added a tiny blob of glue…I then sprinkled the red glitter all over it then walked away. I let it sit for a couple of hours and then brushed off all the glitter. What I love about that technique is that you get little lumps or blobs of glitter which give the effect of an added dimension.
I did enjoy this card fold and think of the many different possibilities for future!

It’s Jeff’s 40th BDay today so we’ll be headed off to a pub somewhere for supper and have a family gathering. I’m hoping that my MIL will tell stories of the momentus occasion of his birth, she had seen two full shifts of nurses before she gave birth! Where the nurses she had originally seen had come to work the next day were in shock to see that she hadn’t delivered yet. Oh what fun!
I hope your Sunday goes fantastic and that you have a fabulous and enjoyable day!
