Holly Paper “Brads” – CSAD!

I hope your week has been going great! I’ve got another Card Sketch a Day Card for you! Please go on over and visit as not only my card is being featured but my good friend Peggy’s is as well!

This is the project where I made a few of these “brads” using my extra, special, special Holly Stamp. Yes that’s the one where I paid a fortune for it! When I first saw the sketch, I knew that I wanted to do something different with it but realized I didn’t have everything that I needed. A shopping trip ensued! I picked up a couple of circle punches and the infamous Holly Stamp! (no…I’m not bitter! LOL) I am glad that I picked it up.

Here’s CSAD sketch #80:

Presenting the Holly Brad card:

I inadvertently left out a ribbon or something, I knew something was “missing” when it was all finished. Oops! To accentuate the paper, I had traced the flourishes with my good ‘ole Sakura Glitter Pen! I had also traced the veins of the poinsettia flower with it too! Now I totally understand why Peggy was going through these like water! To balance out the poinsettia, I used a holly EK Success corner punch on the opposite corner.

Here’s a close up of the “Brads” from another card I had made with the leftovers from this card! If you click on the above link, the post also describes how I had made them!

Card Composition:
Paper – Bazzill, Evensong (CTMH)
Stamps – Winter Wonder (Verve), Holly (Unknown)
Ink – Garden Green (SU), Cranberry (CTMH)
Embellishments – Liquid Glass (CTMH), Poinsettia (Prima), Glitter Pen (Sakura), Holly Punch (EK), Burgundy Glitter (Stickles), Heat Embossing, Clear Button (CTMH)

I appreciate your visit and your gracious comments! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a fabulous day!
