What’s great about blogging is that you can schedule your posts ahead of time and have them post automatically. It’s like setting the timer on your coffee machine. But if you don’t turn it on, you won’t get freshly brewed coffee in the morning. So yes, I forgot to hit schedule *palm to forehead smack* when I drafted it up a week ago and I thought I was being good! ;)
Here’s Tuesdays or for this week… Organizational Wednesday…
Wow! The response from last week’s post regarding the Stow n’ Go was great! Thanks so much for your messages and emails. I wish I had an easy answer for you all. The maker of the Stow n’ Go is New Phase Inc and their website is: http://newphaseinc.com
Unfortunately they don’t ship outside the US but upon doing a google search you may find a distributor in your area or perhaps drop a line to the folks at New Phase Inc and they’ll probably be able to point you to someone that does carry them. Let me know how your search goes as I’d love to pass on the info to other readers :)
For this week it’s embossing folders because I have um a small selection of these…*cough, cough*
For A2 sized embossing folders I like to use plastic recipe boxes. Where did I get them? Staples. (No Staples didn’t pay me to mention their name nor give me copious amount of recipe boxes although that would have been helpful!) Currently I have two of these. It makes it easier to port when traveling and teaching. I have them labeled Cuttlebug Folders and TH Alterations which makes folders easier to find for me. (The um Powerpuff girl stickers are courtesy of Jeff, don’t ask looooooong story! hehe)
When absolutely stuffed, it fits 32’ish when you alternate the hinge end every other folder so it isn’t lopsided and you can jam more in.
For sanity, blogging and publishing sake I label the folders the moment it leaves the store packaging and boy does it ever make life easier!
At current, I only have a small handful of the 5×7 folders and other assorted sized folders including borders so those all are just thrown into a box. Once I figure that out, I’ll let you know. Especially that Sizzix will be making ATC sized folders with TH designs on them. (*teehee* I sooo can’t wait!)
How do you store your embossing folders? I’d love to hear what you do!
Thanks so much for dropping in today! For those of you who aren’t allergic to peanuts, go grab some peanut brittle to celebrate National Peanut Brittle day!! (I honestly don’t have a clue who officially declares these days! They never mentioned that job in career counseling that’s for sure! hehe)
PS. If you come by the 12 tags demo night at Classic tonight (Wednesday) drop in from 5 to 8, I’ll have one of fave organizing “systems” with me. If you don’t have a chance to drop by don’t fret! It’s on my list to share with you :)
