Wahoo! It’s Thursday! Well I thought to break up the Valentine’s and throw in a vintage tag today. Oh don’t you worry I still have a few more projects from VCD to share with you.
When I first saw this image from Crafty Secrets, I couldn’t wait to use it but didn’t know how or where. I couldn’t stop laughing it was too funny! I just got to the point where I said, just use it already!! Bit by bit the tag came together trying a technique here, another there. I’m relatively new to this genre and I still have much to learn. It’s all a fantastic journey and wonderful inking fun!
I used glossy accents on the bran box and on the cartoon bubble to make them stand out. I also traced the bran box in Stardust Clear star to give it a little “magic” LOL kind of feel! The bottom flourish was covered in distress crackle paint. This I really, really love this right now!!! It gives a nice fine crackle to any project. Another point of interest is the grungeboard star. It was covered in a few coats of stickles then after drying, covered in glossy accents. It’s pretty cool!
What’s in it:
Paper: Tag (American Tag), Christmas (Graphic 45), Cut out (Crafty Secrets)
Stamp: French Market (Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous)
Ink: Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Peeled Paint (Distress/Ranger), Coffee Archival Ink (Ranger)
Embellishments: Crackle Paint (Distress/Ranger), Crackle and Glossy Accents (Inkessentials/Ranger), Crown Charm, Gingham Ribbon (May Arts), Regal Mini-Mask (TH/Avantus), Grungeboard (TH/Avantus), Diamond (Stickles/Ranger), Gold Tape, Gold Star Glitter Pen (Stardust/Sakura), Button (Basic Grey), Hemp
After work today, I get to teach some wonderful gals the many fun and unusual ways to use their embossing machines. On Friday and Saturday, it’s Copic basics!! Wheeeeeee!!! Can’t you tell? I enjoy it a lot!
Thanks so much visiting today and for your comments from yesterday! They absolutely cracked me up! Have fun…ask someone to dance today!
