It’s been a while since I’ve played in Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch Challenge, I really enjoy her sketches! There are some folks that have the talent to put together great sketches and Mercy is definitely one! Amazing that she’s done 100 sketches! Her cards are absolutely fabulous too!
Here’s sketch numero 100!
I turned the sketch on its side and composed this card:
I had fun putting this together! I cut into some Graphic 45 paper as well as some embossed Penny Black and crack open a Verve set that has been calling me! Wahoo! I can plus one my Christmas card stash! With it being into the second half of November, maybe I should be writing in these, addressing and adding a stamp to post them in a couple of weeks! Need more time!! ACK!
It’s really gotten cold here (really, really cold) and we got a dusting of snow the other day. Hmmm…looks like Winter is here! I think I’ll hanker down and stay warm! What are you up to today???
Thanks for visiting!
Over at Drunken Stampers, we’re punching away. Pulling the punches! *groan* Sorry!
I had been thinking of using the Daisy Fan martha deep edger punch for a while but wasn’t sure how I was going to use it. Then I came across Martha’s punch around the page Lattice set and I couldn’t resist that either! So I used both! LOL On the Daisy fans, I added embossing powder so they would stick up a little and have a little shine. The white swirly-gig thingies are flourish rub ons that I added to the black cardstock base for contrast. The other white swirly-gig thingies are cut out of Bazzill Bling using the Spellbinders Doodle Parts set.
I used a Spellbinders deckled rectangle to frame the Penny Black sentiment and added some distress Black Soot and Weathered wood. I was too lazy to pull out my craft mat so the colour wasn’t as even as I would have liked. The red dots are Ranger Adirondack Cranberry dimensionals. And once again, my I-Rock was calling me so I added some rhinestones…I did exercise some restraint! LOL
Black, white and red, a different look for a Christmas card! Be sure to drop in to the Drunken Stampers challenge blog to see the absolutely fabulous creations the gals have created! Most of all…come play!
Thanks so much for dropping in! Enjoy your weekend!
